Kansas National Guardsmen of the 891st Engineer Company use a backhoe and bulldozer during annual training at the Great Plains Training Center, Salina, Aug. 12.

Kayaking and canoeing were just two of the many activities participants of Teen Camp 2015 enjoyed Aug. 2-8 at Camp Wood near Elmdale, Kansas. Teen Camp is an annual event for teens from Kansas military families.

A Kansas National Guardsman checks the weapon of an Armenian soldier during a field exercise in Armenia July 27. Several Kansas Guardsmen were in Armenia assisting the Armenian peacekeeping forces prepare for their NATO certification evaluation later this year.

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback speaks to international officers from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. The officers were in Topeka July 16 to learn about the Kansas National Guard, state government and state judicial process.
