President Obama made his first visit to Kansas since 2011 to speak at the University of Kansas. He arrived and departed in Air Force One via Forbes Field Air National Guard Base in Topeka.

The Arab Shrine donated tickets to the Arab Shrine Circus to the Kansas National Guard during a ceremony in the State Defense Building in Topeka Jan. 21, 2015. The circus will take place in Topeka Feb. 19-22.

Kansas National Guardsmen support the inauguration of Gov. Sam Brownback into his second term as governor at the state Capitol in Topeka Jan. 12, 2015. 2nd Battalion 130th Field Artillery along with the 35th ID Band provided the pomp and circumstance marking the event.

Kansas National Guardsmen escort Kansas legislators and congressmen into Exposition Hall at the Kansas Expocentre, Topeka, Kansas, to welcome Gov. Sam Brownback into his second term as Kansas governor Jan. 10, 2015. The gala also featured the presentation of colors by the KSNG honor guard.
