Zombie Preparedenss Day proclamation signing


Devan Tucking, Human Services officer with the Kansas Division of Emergency Management, describes the contents of a typical home emergency kit to Gov. Sam Brownback during a proclamation signing for "Zombie Preparedness Month in Kansas" Sept. 30. During October, KDEM is reminding Kansans that, if they are prepared for zombies, they are prepared for any disaster.

The Kansas National Guard's Mobile Emergency Operations Center was one of several emergency vehicles on display at the Kansas State Fair Sept. 12 during Emergency Preparedness Day.

Members of the Kansas City Chiefs met with military members and signed autographs during Military Appreciation Day at the Chiefs training camp Aug. 18.
