In a show of support for the Soldiers and Airmen of the Kansas National Guard and their families, the Topeka ARAB Shrine will donate approximately 2,500 children’s tickets to the 2017 Shrine Circus to the Kansas National Guard. The presentation will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Museum of the Kansas National Guard, 125 SE Airport Drive, Topeka.
Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli, the adjutant general, will accept the tickets on behalf of the Kansas National Guard for distribution to Guard members who would like to take their children.
"Quality time with family is very important to our Guardsmen," said Tafanelli. "We appreciate the Shrine Circus for providing this opportunity."
“Arab Shriners feel this is another way to give back to the military families of Northeast Kansas for their service and dedication throughout the year," said Roger Farthing, ARAB Shrine Public Relations Director.
The 78th annual ARAB Shrine Circus will be held Feb. 17-19 at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka.
"The ARAB Shrine is committed to provide a quality experience for families with clowns and exciting acts along with something new every year for the entire family" , in a spirit of fun, fellowship and social camaraderie.”
